Evaluate
Birmingham-Southern represents an excellent value in today's higher education marketplace. See College and the Economy. Another thing to keep in mind is that the vast majority of our students graduate in four years, eliminating the cost required to stay for a fifth or even sixth year. And BSC is more affordable than you might think. BSC Financial Aid works with each student and family individually to craft financial aid award packages. More than 95 percent of BSC students receive some type of financial aid.
Plan
BSC FA encourages you and your family to plan for the financial commitment that attending college requires. To help you plan, BSC FA offers these tools:
current year tuition and fees information
net price calculator (NPC) Note that the NPC is based on 2009-10 data. See Achievement Scholarships for information on BSC’s 2012-13 scholarship levels.
calendar for incoming freshmen
calendar for returning BSC students
financial aid estimator To project your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) and eligibility for federal financial aid programs, choose FAFSA4caster option under "Thinking About College" (Requires Internet Explorer)
Apply
Apply for admission by January 1 prior to your first year at BSC. Your application for admission is your application for the BSC scholarship program. By the end of February, complete and submit the FAFSA. Your FAFSA will be evaluated for federal financial aid and for the BSC Grant. To apply for certain special programs other applications may be required. However, if you complete application for admission and a valid FAFSA, you will be considered for BSC and federal financial aid.
