Is there any field of study more interesting than people? Majoring in psychology will open a wide window into the causes of human behavior and prepare you for graduate work in psychology, as well as a variety of professions that require an understanding of the principles of human behavior. A degree in psychology prepares you for any number of post-graduate programs, including psychology, medicine and law.

In your first studies, the topics you’ll explore are varied and interesting: group behavior; forensic psychology and forensic assessment, jury selection and deliberation; human sexual behavior and sex, gender and society; health, illness and healing in cultural context; drugs, brain and behavior; psychology of personality and psychological disorders; and even animal behavior. As a senior, in addition to advance curriculum, you will work with faculty to determine a course of independent study and off-campus internships.
