Is there any movement more beautiful than the dancer at home on the stage? Achieving that beauty takes dedication, purpose, and work. And those are the traits of the BSC dance program. Difficult? Yes, but you’ll be surrounded by people who share your love of the art.

Choose BSC and your dance major will include all levels of ballet technique, classical ballet repertoire, jazz, modern, dance performance, dance history, pedagogy, and choreography. You’ll also take music labs, pilates, tap, and anatomy and injury studies. To broaden your studies, we offer master classes with guest artists from regional professional companies on a regular basis. Based in classical ballet, our dance major includes degree tracks for a B.A. in dance; a B.A. in dance with dance teaching certification P-12; and a minor in dance. We also welcome any who wish to study dance as an elective part of their liberal arts education.

Our graduates work in a number of ballet and modern companies, on Broadway, and in other national and regional entertainment companies. While others have chosen to study in graduate dance programs around the country. Many have careers as teachers, costumers, actors, or are employed in various business occupations.
