Do you have a knack for computers and mathematics? Then consider the interdisciplinary mathematics-computer science major, which you can pursue in less time than it would take you to earn a double degree.

You can learn both cutting-edge computing and advanced mathematics in a balanced way. As much as possible, you’ll get to work in groups, tackle real-world problems, and engage in research. But most of all, we’ll focus our attention on you, the student.

Through your experience at Birmingham-Southern, you’ll have the skills necessary to enter graduate studies or gain employment in the fields of computer science, applied mathematics, computer or business/computer professions, and actuarial science or teaching, among others.
